Welcome to the October edition of Burton Clinic newsletter

We aim to keep you informed of changes and update you with our latest service improvements.

Environment

Plans for our upgrade programme are underway. Our vision based on a  a contemporary theme has moved to the project planning stage, with focus on both the  needs of  patients and also of our staff.

We are paying careful attention to the comments returned on our "patient feedback" forms and integrating these

suggestions into the scheme.

Our intention is to select  products which deliver both a pleasing and comfortable envirnoment and also which work hard to assist us in maintaining stringent hygiene and safety standards without compromising the environment.

Quality Management

Our quality management process is accredited ISO 9001:2008, assuring patients of our committment to continuously maintaining and improving standards.

Our Operations & Business Development Manager Paula Cox has recently taken over responsibility for QMS and is leading on a major service review.

Consultation with both staff and patients is assisting in the development of new standards and improved methods of working, ensuring patient care and customer satisfaction is the key priority.

Kitchen confidential

Our new Autumn / Winter Gourment Menu has just been tried and tested, with new warming and wholesome main course dishes and Needwood ice creams in a variety of flavours.

Wherever possible we aim to source products locally and this new addition is made right here in the heart of Staffordshire.

 Infection control

Here at Burton Clinic we are proud of our attention to detail and work tirelessly to ensure that patients are kept safe.

Our new disposable cubicle curtains are now installed, giving a clean bright look to our consulting rooms as the first phase of their upgrade.

We have initiated a rolling programme of curtain replacement  and are looking at complimentary disposable products which are biodegradable and  will help us contribute to protecting our environment whilst also reducing infection control risks.

This is a challenge we are tackling "head on" in our efforts to reduce the amount of transport, water, heating and detergents which are involved in our laundry service.

During our trial of products we will be asking for patients comments and opinions to ensure we choose suitable and appropriate items for patient comfort.
