The Burton Clinic offers a range of specialities, all Consultant managed, from initial Outpatient consultation and investigations  through to surgical or medical intervention. 
 
We are committed to meeting patient needs and strive through continual service monitoring to achieve consistently high quality standards. Our aim is to provide a safe, friendly and courteous service to our patients, using specialist medical and nursing teams. We are an ISO 9001:2008 accredited facility, ensuring you of our committment to quality.
 
The income generated by The Burton Clinic is reinvested in services for all patients at Queen's Hospital. So, by choosing to go privately, you are also helping the NHS. 
 
Visiting arrangements
                                                                            
Visiting hours are open, we have no restrictions, but would ask that visitors respect the requirement for patients to rest and contact the Nurse in Charge on the day of your procedure, when we recommend next of kin or a close friend only visits.
 
Payments
                                                                             
We accept a range of payment methods including valid insurance policies, cash and major debit/credit cards. Please note for credit cards a 2% handling charge is applied, there is no charge for debit card. Bankers drafts made payable to Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Prices are provided on an individual patient basis, please contact 01283 500660 for an estimated price based on the procedure advised to you by your Consultant.

 Procedure Charges

                                                                          

Procedure charges are inclusive of drugs and dressings including 'take home' drugs and are classified by complexity and are charged accordingly. It should be noted that these charges are hospital charges and that your consultant and anaesthetist will send you their accounts separately.

 

Settlement of account
                                                          

Patients covered by Private Health Insurance must produce evidence of cover on or prior to admission.

 

On discharge, our Finance Department will send you your final account, for you to pass on to your Insurance Company.

 

Private Health Insurance policies do not cover non-medical expenses such as the long-term loan of equipment, light refreshments for visitors, alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, newspapers, magazines, stamps and sundry items.


Insured patients are advised to seek pre-authorisation from their insurance company prior to admission. It is in the patients interest to be aware of their insurance cover.

Guest Facilities

                                                                           

Visitors meals and beverages are available to your guests on notification to the Senior Nurse. These items will be added to your personal account or can be settled by cash payment with the Administrative Coordinator at the time of order.
