Mr J Hollingworth
James Hollingworth qualified from Liverpool University in 1985 and was elected a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (1989) and England (1990), awarded an MD thesis in cancer studies from Leicester University (1994) and elected a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 1997. He completed training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1999 and was appointed a full time consultant at Queens Hospital (Burton Hospitals NHS Trust) in 2000. His interests include oncology, colposcopy, cervical cytology, and gynaecological ultrasound (diploma awarded in 2006). He also has interests in minimal access gynaecology. He is the Clinical Lead for Oncology and Colposcopy and the Hospital Based Cervical Screening Coordinator and immediate past Chairman of the Derby Burton Gynaecological Cancer Site Specific Group. Research interests include gynaecological ultrasound and management of cervical cancer.
